Set your story at the boundary between two realms.https://blog.reedsy.com/creative-writing-prompts/general/set-your-story-at-the-boundary-between-two-realms/
The boundary between two realms Heaven, hell Beauty, life Destruction, death Well, not exactly For it’s not as you might think Sure you’ve been taught That one is bad And one is good But there is beauty In the gnarled vines In the shifting bones And there is pain In the brightest lights And the eternity promised I have seen many a soul Pass through my domain Far too biased To pay the same game Because at the boundary of two realms Everyone cannot see The reality Nowhere is black and white Nowhere is perfect Nowhere is not Find the place of nowhere In the link And you can take A moment To think

What am I to you?
A friend? An ally? Why do you not look at me Like I look at you? Could it be possible That I love you I revere you So much more Than you of me That your love doesn’t shine through? What am I to you? Wow.
Just, wow. As usual when I hit an accomplishment number, today's post is going to be a bit different. Today we hit the 100th WPW. That is absolutely insane. That's 100 weeks of poems, stories, and prompts on this blog. Just shy of two years' worth of prompts. When I started this blog almost three years ago, I had no idea how far it would come. For those who have been here since day 1, thank you. For those who are new, welcome, and thank you. And for everyone in between, thank you. Thank you for sticking with me on this wild journey. Thank you for reading my stuff every week, and thank you for helping me follow my dreams. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I love you all. -Writerial Why is life still moving on
Why is everyone not still Will they miss me when I’m gone I think I’ve had my fill But the earth keeps turning And the world keeps running The people keep working And the land keeps burning And here in the middle of it all There’s me No one cares When you are dying People keep working And people keep lying Where can you fit in To a world that doesn’t wait Keep it up to fate Oh when will I be free Write a poem that does not contain any rhymes. https://www.writingforward.com/writing-prompts/poetry-prompts/100-poetry-prompts
A poem without rhymes An instrument without tune You have to make your words Flow Without the use Of a song To sing them to How can you write A poem without rhymes While keeping your Melody and beat You write And you hope That the words Will flow The walls of a slaughterhouse
Rise up above the prey. They box her in; There’s no way out Of this game of cat and mouse. The cat has fangs, The cat has claws, A whole world to lean upon. But the mouse can run Into the walls That box her in Isn’t that enough? And when she gets killed By a cat that has No right to her But the claws he was born with, They’ll say, “But why mouse Did you go to the slaughterhouse In the first place? He’s a cat, He’s made for that. You have to be more careful As a mouse.” |
