Guns drawn
Hand on the trigger
Who will be the first to shoot?
Waiting
For our early demise
When everyone can despise
The world
One one cares who lives or dies
BLM and blue lives
Rights for husbands and wives
The poor keep starving
The rich are richer
And yet
We are so focused on each other
We are not the enemy
Republicans and Democrats
Climate change and MAGA hats
What happened to human lives?
What happened to empathy?
Compassion?
Opening your door
For someone to crash in?
What happened to family?
Support?
Not hearing horrors in every news report?
When did we become so desensitized
To this cold, cold war?
