Truth.
It’s painful, I’m not going to lie.
It has the power to make you beam
Or the power to make you cry.
You can’t hide it;
It’ll always be revealed.
It’s too jagged to stay hidden long,
It can’t just be concealed.
So although truth causes pain,
Although it cuts like a blade,
It’s better to be straight-forward.
You mightn’t be so afraid.
Because no matter how much hurt
Telling the truth my cause,
Being honest is less hurtful
Than deception ever was.
