Stars blazed in the night sky
I stare up at them and can’t help but wonder why
Why are we so small and insignificant
When the universe is so vast
Why does life go by so quickly
Why do the good parts never last

Stars blazed in the night sky
My vision blurs as I start to cry
The bright and dark start to mix
Until the sky is blotches of black and white
The dark isn’t as consuming
When you can see the light

Stars blazed in the night sky
I stare up at them and start to understand why
We may be insignificant 
But if we can mix the dark
Our lives won’t be as useless
In the hearts where we spark
