A pretty simple prompt for today because I was bored so the classic Unrequited Love! Enjoy you guys! (I realized that this is pretty similar to #6 but uh we're just gonna pretend it's not...)

Our eyes meet across the room
He gives me a small grin
And my heart breaks a bit
That's just how it's been.
I tell myself not to hope
to not let myself dream
No matter how good it may be,
it's all one terrible scheme.
But when I see him
I want to stay there forever
And I know it could never be true
And even now, I hate that word never
I've tried lying to myself before
I tried saying everything was okay
I'm trying to lie to myself now
But I think of him everyday
I'll never have him
He'll always be out of reach
I'll try to live everyday without him
But dream of him in each.
